Meetings will be held on at least three occasions during the financial year;
1. In May to consider the effects of the previous budget and to identify issues for the forthcoming budget.
2. In October to November to consider the forthcoming budget
3. In early January to consider the revenue budget settlement.
Further meetings will be arranged, by agreement of the Chair, to consider wider issues of the funding formula, the scheme for financing schools, revenue budget settlement, procurement and contracts matters.
Substitute members will be notified in advance of the meeting. The Forum will be quorate if at least 40% of the total membership is present at a meeting (including substitute members).
Timing and venue
The dates, timings and venues of all meetings will be agreed by the Forum. Date of meetings will be agreed in advance at the last meeting of each academic year. Should it be necessary to cancel or amend a scheduled meeting the Chair of the Forum will have delegated responsibility from the group to make this decision.
At the last meeting of the academic year the Forum will also work with officers of the Local Authority to prepare and agree a forward work plan for the forthcoming academic year.
