We are proposing a highways improvement scheme and would like to hear from you.
- Scheme Ref: CPZ-K/LP
- Type of scheme: Parking
- Ward: Butetown
Scheme overview
We are proposing to introduce a parking zone in the Cardiff Bay area. As part of this scheme, we would like to introduce a “Permit Parking Area” on Louisa Place. This means:
- Any vehicle parking in Louisa Place will need to clearly display a valid permit
-
There will be no permit parking bays painted on the road and instead drivers will be informed that only vehicles displaying a valid permit may park in Louisa Place by signs at the entrance/exit to the area
- The Permit Parking Area will apply 24 hours a day, every day
- Permits will be zonal and continue to be issued as they currently are, with all properties being eligible for two resident permits and one permit for visitors
- Any existing Louisa Place permit holders will be allowed to park in the new Permit Parking Area. Vehicles parked on private driveways will not need a permit.
No changes will take place to any parking charges, permit prices or disabled bays as part of this scheme.
Have your say
This consultation is now closed.
81% of the responses we received were in favour of the scheme and 19% were not in favour of the scheme.
You will be able to view detailed parking designs and formally object to the scheme if you want to.
The making of a TRO is a lengthy process and can take 6 to 9 months to complete.
