We are proposing to introduce a parking zone in Cardiff Bay. A parking zone is an area where all on-street parking is controlled during certain times.
This helps free up more parking space for residents, improves safety and promotes active travel.
In the new parking zone:
- All currently unrestricted parking will either become Permit Holder Only parking or 2 hours free “Limited Waiting” parking (with an exemption for permit holders).

The limited waiting parking bays will apply between 8am and 8pm, daily.

Permit parking in the zone will apply 24 hours a day, every day. This is so that some road space is always reserved for residents.
- Any existing permit holder only parking will be changed so that it also applies 24 hours a day.
- Eleanor Place and Dudley Court will become “Permit Parking Areas” (PPAs). This means there will be no parking bays painted on the road, but all vehicles will still need to display a permit. Signs at the entrance to the area will inform drivers of this.

Permit holders will be able to park on their street or on the nearest available street within the parking zone.

No changes will be made to any parking charges or Blue Badge parking bays.
