Strategies and policies

A Play Strategy has been launched which covers all children and young people between the ages of 0 – 25 years, with the primary focus on 5 – 15 year olds.

 

The ‘Every Child has the Right to Play' (PDF 6.6 Mb)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Link opens in a new window​​ strategy aims to set out a clear vision and mission for play across the city, emphasising how essential play is in the healthy development of children and young people.

 

The strategy has been developed through consultation with children, young people, professionals and parents.
