Age Friendly Cardiff

Age Friendly Cardiff is a network of organisations including Cardiff Council, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, South Wales Police, third sector partners and other services, dedicated to making the city a better place for people to grow older.

Cardiff gained membership to the World Health Organization's Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities in March 2022. The Network was established in 2010 to connect cities, communities and organisations worldwide with the common vision of making their community a great place to grow older.

A new age-friendly website has been launched in Cardiff, to coincide with the annual United Nations International Day of Older Persons.

We want to make it easier for older adults to find what they need to live independently and stay engaged in their communities. This website offers a central location for information about local services, activities and support that can help older people in Cardiff to live well.
