Our aim is to help you find your ideal volunteering opportunity and realise your potential.
We are keen for volunteers to join each of the following services:

Once inducted, the volunteer co-ordinator you will have a conversation with you about which service would be best suited to you.

With office space and a medical suite, people who are sleeping rough can access emergency care and support services.
The service also provides food and hot drinks, and acts as a shelter for people in bad weather. Experienced staff support clients by providing aid in the form of:

breakfast,

hot drinks,
-
sleeping bags,
-
warm clothing,
-
toiletries, and
-
help in locating further local provision throughout the day and evening.
The Team also offers a wide range of advice and provides access to the most appropriate, relevant and often specialist services including housing advice, referrals to supported accommodation, benefit advice, referrals for all types of healthcare and referrals to substance misuse centres.

The Huggard provide:

free and low cost meals,

free clothing, laundry, and

personal hygiene facilities.
The centre exists to provide essential assistance for homeless people while providing the opportunity to engage with them, in a warm friendly atmosphere, to help break their cycle of homelessness.

It provides an alternative fund to help these homeless charities support the people they work with through small grants.
