Everyone should be able to vote without facing barriers. We want to make sure you feel supported when casting your vote.
We have made sure that:
- Most polling stations have easy access.
- Tactile voting devices are available to people who read braille.
- Magnifying glasses are available.
- Pencils have grips.
- The ballot paper samples are large sizes.
You can bring a companion with you to assist you when you vote.
If you need support on election day, please ask the polling station staff, who will be happy to help. All polling station staff will be trained to make sure they have a better understanding of voters in Cardiff.
Before you visit your polling station, you can fill in a polling station information card, to help tell us what help you may need. You can give it to our polling station staff, who can assist you.
If you would like to receive a printed copy of this polling station information card, please contact electoral services. You can also pick up a printed version at polling stations on election day.
You can also register for a postal or proxy vote if you cannot make it to a polling station on election day.
You can get help at your local Hub if you need help with:
- registering to vote,
- applying for a postal or proxy vote, or
- applying for a Voter Authority Certificate.
