Scrutiny Committee Members were appointed at the Council’s Annual General Meeting on 26 May 2022, and Scrutiny Committee meetings recommenced in June 2022.
Scrutiny Committee Members are currently developing their forward work programme for the remainder of 2022-23. They will be published when they have been agreed by committee.

Inquiry reports
Scrutiny Committees sometimes look in detail at a topic and send a report to Cabinet, with recommendations for how to improve.
The Cabinet considers the report and responds to the recommendations.

Every year, scrutiny committees report on their work, highlighting contributions received and recommendations made.
Their reports highlight the impact of scrutiny and changes that were carried out.
For 2020 to 21, and for 2021 to 2022 the five scrutiny committees developed a combined Annual Report.
